Justin Harris is the Broker and owner of Old Drum Real Estate, bringing a uniquely powerful background in law, corporate executive leadership, and real estate investment to his clients and agents.

Justin’s career in real estate began in 1999 as an attorney in private practice, where he eventually became the Managing Member of his firm. His legal practice focused heavily on real estate, business organization, and civil litigation, providing advice and representation to residential and commercial developers, buyers, sellers, lenders, and title companies.

Because of his extensive legal and business expertise, Justin was recruited to serve as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts in Springfield, Missouri. Serving on the company's Executive Committee, his work involved the development, financing, construction, and operation of large-scale hospitality projects.

Building on his corporate and legal experience, Justin moved to Warrensburg in 2012 to be nearer to family and focus on his own business interests. He began investing in local commercial, residential, and multi-family properties. In 2017, he founded Old Drum Real Estate. Today, in addition to leading his brokerage, Justin is an associate Broker at Spirit Rentals Property Management, which manages over 600 single-family and multi-family residential properties.

Justin’s commitment to discipline and excellence began early. He formerly served in the United States Army Reserve as a PSYOP Specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State) , and earned his law degree from the Drake University School of Law, graduating 3rd in his class with Highest Honors.

Justin and his wife Melanie live in Warrensburg. They have four children and are highly active in their church and community organizations.
