First, we recommend using the "Favorites" feature on our website to mark those homes that you are interested in seeing when the time is right. This list you create also helps us to understand your interests and we may be able to use your favorites to to come up with homes you had not come across or that we know may be coming on the market soon.
We like to have 24 to 48 hours advance notice when you want to see a property or list of properties. We will need to contact the listing agents and may need to schedule an appointment with the sellers if the home is currently occupied. Generally, if you select your favorite 5 to 10 properties, the process will be much more manageable and less confusing for everyone. If you want to see more homes, we can always do that on another day.
If you have a lot of potential homes you want to look at in multiple areas or subdivisions, it helps to focus on just one or two prospects in a particular subdivision or part of town. After seeing those homes, you may want to eliminate a subdivision or part of town from consideration, or you might decide you definitely want to find a home in a particular area. Then we can focus your search.
Our initial objective may not be to find a particular home to buy but to eliminate areas or subdivisions. It is usually obvious which homes will become your top picks once we have been out. If you know that you are not interested in a particular property when we get there, we can just move on. After seeing two or three homes, mentally compare the home you are currently viewing to the best home you have seen so far. This is a good approach to keeping the property straight in your mind. Trying to remember the specifics of too many homes can end up leaving us confused. You don't want to mix up back yards with bedrooms and make the whole process a blur! Don't worry, we will always come back and take a second look at the best properties so you can make your buying decision.
